European debut of the Aveo showed the Chevrolet face on the Kalos hatch already. That styling is to continue, but there are other changes. Standard trim includes split, flip-down and fold-up rear seats, standard front and side-impact airbags, while ABS, cruise control, power sunroof and a six-speaker system come with the higher trim option. The European Aveo5 gets 84bhp 1200cc and 94bhp 1400cc engines. But is that good enough stateside? Not by half. The Americans will drive a 107bhp, 1600cc four-cylinder powered hatch.
