Ford has released the first pictures of the new focus RS, the hot version of the otherwise tame focus. To debut at the forthcoming London show, the green car looks awesome. The car, according to Ford, has not actually completed development, but will look like the final European Spec RS. Yes, the wide, low-slung, agro look, double exhaust and the spoiler are all going to be on the production car.

The RS will get a turbocharged 2500 cc In-line five that will put out 295 bhp and 41kgm, it should have the go to ER, go with the show. It will be a front wheel driver, of course, but there will be a new suspension system to handle that force, something Ford is naming RevoKnuckle, which will help the automatic torque biasing limited slip differential do its bit to control torque steer. Why no all-wheel drive? Too heavy. Big brakes, nannytronics, Recaro seats and a 6-speed manual complete the picture. More details expected when the car doors open for drivers later in the year.
