Given that the Hyundai i10 has won pretty much every single major car award this year, and had some staggering sales, you’d think that Hyundai would be putting their feet up for a bit and enjoying their victory.
They have launched a brand new engine variant; it is called the Kappa and is a 1.2 litre petrol unit that Hyundai says offers 4 percent better fuel economy than the existing 1.1 litre iRDE engine. The kappa is available in three trims, the Magna, the Sports (complete with two-toned sporty interiors) and the highest-end Asta.
The new Kappa i10 is available from prices that start at Rs. 3.99 lakh. As if that weren’t enough, Hyundai also offering a 4-speed automatic gearbox option on the kappa, for easier city driving. Resting on laurels is clearly for wimps.
