It was bound to happen. Four Cars had reached Indian shores-none of them sold through Audi India’s network. And Audi India couldn’t miss out on a golden egg like the R8, so yes. It is finally here, in all its glory.

The supercar will now be made available through Audi’s dealer network across the country and you can book your car right now, though it doesn’t carry an official price tag just yet. The R8 will however be sold in India in the same spec as Europe-so except the glorious 4200cc v8, 420 bhp and a 0-100 kmph in 4.6 seconds. The R8 also features Audi’s legendary Quattro system coupled with an aluminum spaceframe- all built to Audi’s Vorsprung Durch Technik standards.

Audi meanwhile is testing variants of the A3 Sport-back as well as mystery saloon, most likely a face-lifted version of the A8 or A6 platform.
