General Motors India is now offering the Chevrolet Spark for just Rs 2.66 lakh. This limited period offer will allow potential customers to choose the base variant of the Spark at a price that competes with the Maruti Suzuki Alto.
The 1000cc Spark has had a good run in the Indian market, but has not been able to create a serious dent, thanks to the lower level of localization. Having increased its localization levels in the last few months, GM has managed to pass on the benefits to the consumer with this limited period price tag.
GM India meanwhile has aggressively been addressing its after sales network. It currently, has 117 dealers across India, which will increase to 125 dealers and 135 service points by the end of the year. The company is also busy preparing itself a major chunk of its small car production to be shifted to its new facility at Ranjangaon
