This is the X6, ready to make its world debut. Expected to go on sale in the second quarter of 2008, there will be two X6 variants. The xDrive 50i will have a new twin-turbo, direct injection 4400cc V8 making a near 400bhp and 62 kgm. The slower one, the xDrive 35i will get the 335i’s 300bhp twin turbo inline six. Among the drive systems is Dynamic Performance Control, while can direct torque to either of the rear wheels, aiding stability and steering when traction is poor. The sloping roofline, obviously will compromise to practicality, but then again, the V8 (easier than typing xDrive 50i, oh we just did) manages 100 kph in 5.3 seconds, so we’ll forgive it.
