Well, it was supposed to come out at the Paris Show, but it is already here. Say hello to the 2009 Audi A6, a car that is coming to India by the end of the year. The facelifted car takes a straight-edged dip into the LED-in-the-headlights Audi design school, but gets the nearly aggressive lower edge a la A4 to the front airdam. Other tweaks include the single frame ‘beard,’ and new bumpers. Inside, you have the new MMI system. On offer are six petrols and four diesels, ranging from the 170bhp 2000cc petrol to the 3000cc blown V6 petrol and diesels span 2000 to 3000cc. Also revealed are the new 2009 RS6 (Bijoy just drove the 2008 model for this issue!) We are likely to see three engines on offer in India, the 190 bhp 2.7 and 240 bhp 3.0 TDIs and the 220 bhp 2.8 FSI. While the 290bhp 3.0 TFSI engine is on offer in Europe, we’re not sure whether that will come to India, or whether the 3.2 FSI from the A4 will form the flagship engine for the Indian A6.
