Tata Motors recently rolled out the millionth car on its Indica platform from its facility in Pune. It has been nine years since the first Indica rolled out, in January 1999.

While it achieved the 100,000th mark in March 2001 and the 500,000th in February, 2005, the progression from the 900,000th car to the millionth car was achieved in just seven months.
