The new Porsche Cayenne GTS debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany and featured a chassis spec focused purely tarmac use. This is the first Cayenne to offer Porsche’s electronically-controlled damping system known as PASM (or Porsche Active Suspension Management) in combination with steel springs. This set-up lowers the Cayenne by 24mm and was previously reserved exclusively for Porsche’s sports cars.
The Cayenne GTS also boasts an enhanced version of the direct fuel injection (DFI) 4.8-litre V8 petrol engine, one that yields 405bhp at 6,500rpm – 20bhp more than in the Cayenne S. Maximum torque remains unchanged at 500Nm at 3,500rpm. Ample, then.
Expect this version to make it to India, and make even more sense to Bollywood stars and style-conscious industrialists.
