Hybrids were in abundance with the 1/X being the latest iteration of Toyota's petrol-electric hybrids. In an effort to 'redefine from its very roots the idea of what it means to be environmentally considerate’ the company’s engineers paid attention slashing weight and improving safety. The 1/X weight only a third as much as a Prius while having the same occupant space. A combination of a 500cc petrol engine located beneath the rear seats and plug-in hybrid technology gives it almost double the efficiency of a Prius.
