Boffins at Tata motors have slotted in a 2.2-litre VTT DICOR in the two-tonne Safari. The new engine produces 138bhp at 3,000rpm and 320Nm at 2,200rpm. The SUV now comes with beige interiors, an all-new front bumper and grille with two new colours, Cycus Grey and Mountain Green. Other features include a day-night instrument panel and tubeless tyres. The VTT is priced at Rs 7.5 lakh ex-showroom, Mumbai.
There’s also the new Sumo Victa Turbo DI, which is the Victa with a new 3.0-litre direct-injection turbo diesel engine. The new engine develops 69bhp at 3,000rpm and 223Nm at 2,200rpm. The revised range starts at Rs 4.91 lakh ex-Delhi.
There’s more. The Indica V2 DLX recently got a safety upgrade and is now available with dual front airbags and ABS. There are also three new colours: Salsa Red, Arctic Silver and Carbon Black. The DLX is priced at Rs 4.75 lakh, ex-Delhi.
